Dry Tortugas National Park

One of the most spectacular beaches in the Florida Keys can only be reached by a scenic boat ride to Dry Tortugas State Park. The beach here is a long arc of sand leaning against the impressive stone wall of the fort. The ocean is beautiful. Turquoise color and shallow water are perfect for floating peacefully under the hot Florida sun.

The Dry Tortugas are one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in all of Florida. Due to their location, 70 miles offshore, they attract a different aquatic life than the keys closer to the mainland.

One of the easiest ways to reach the area is via a day trip to Dry Tortuguas National Park by catamaran from Key West. This is a full day tour and includes a 45 minute tour of the fort, plus plenty of free time to relax on the beach, snorkel or explore the island.
